Description: Up for sale is an unused KCB-77 Fighting Knife made by Eickhorn/AES in Germany. It has the factory edge and has never been sharpened after the factory as far as I can tell. This knife comes with the original wirecutter scabbard and the restraining lace in the olive/green color. Please be aware that this is NOT the bayo version, this is purely a knife. The knife is completely unmarked from what I can tell but there are some telltale characteristics which make this stand out as made in Germany by one of the aforementioned companies. One of those signs is the plum blade coating which these companies were known for, this KCB fighting knife has the plum blade coating. Another sign is the design of the wirecutter assembly on the scabbard. This design is exclusive to Eickhorn/AES, cheaper copies do not compare. The blade, except for some scabbard wear and neglect by a previous owner, is pretty much unused. I have kept it oiled and maintained as best as I can after I got it but since the previous owner never oiled it from what I can tell, there is some minor rust/corrosion here and there like on the back of the throat of the scabbard. These are 30-50 years old so its somewhat normal but I still like to mention it. The wirecutter assembly seems like it was never used and scabbard in general seem to be in great shape with minor wear that seems to be from long term storage. This is the improved version of the KCB 70 with better plastic less prone to cracking, a heavy duty knife that is also quite rare these days in this condition.
