A classic Bracket Back Sofa #5497 by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Edward Wormley always saw furniture as expressions of personality and as a paired-down concept for detail of architecture and grandeur. This modern line sofa from the 1950s transcends time with its simple lines and bold accents. The bracket back sofa appears to be walnut. The Dunbar sofa has a distinctive button arrangement on the seat cushions and back reminiscent of many of Edward Wormley's designs. The sofa frame has original fabric and has not been reupholstered for the collector who would like to upholster in their own fabric. Labeled "Dunbar" underneath the cushions.
