Description: Ed Paschke Poster, Chicago Humanities Festival IV, 1993 The poster is 26" x 23" and is in very good condition. The only mark on it is where an address label was removed. There is slight wear to the edges where the poster was folded. The folds are easy to get rid of. I clipped the poster to the top of a piece of foamboard and let it stand that way for a day or two and the folds were much less apparent. I'm sure that doing that for a few more days would have made an even bigger difference. The poster has been folded in six sections. My photos show both the poster and the full back of the poster. They also show both sides when folded in half and when folded fully as issued. I have tried to make my photos as accurate a representation of the color as possible. Please remeber that there is apt to be some color variation due to the properties of one's monitor/screen. Please view all photos as they are a part of my description. The poster will be shipped with priority mail. Ed Paschke (1939-2004) "made art about the famous and the infamous. Bold, sometimes shocking, he permitted his subjects to express their complex personalities. Paschke was a strong believer in the viewer’s capacity to interpret his works of art on their own terms. He reveled in the tension between opposing ideas and imagery, hoping to provoke an emotional response in his viewer’s. Paschke put it best himself when he remarked, 'They either love it or hate it but rarely are they indifferent to it.'" Quote from Ed Paschke Art Center website. "Ed Paschke was an American painter best known for his neon-hued images of pin-up posters, glowing televisions, and classical Greek sculptures." Quote from Artnet Please take a look at my other auctions. I am continually adding ephemera, art (prints and paintings) and other antique items.I hope you will add me to your list of favorite sellers.
