Description: This is a somewhat rare exhibition poster of Ed Baynard's Watercolors series which took place in 1978 at the Alexander F Milliken Gallery in New York City. It appears to be an unnumbered limited edition lithograph print that is matted and framed. The frame is charcoal grey/green but from a distance looks to be almost black and does have a few condition issues as mentioned above. Ed Baynard was a wonderful modern artist who blended contemporary and classical style in numerous elegant and minimalist compositions. His works are in numerous museums including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Whitney Museum of American Art all in New York as well as The National Gallery in Washington D.C. The Watercolors exhibition commemorated here is a fine representation of his lovely, refined almost lyrical works. Thanks for looking.
