Description: This is a rare style crude free blown or ribbed pattern mold blown globular bottle with drippy applied ring around shoulder like the early blown "Persian saddle flasks"........Free blown so there are no mold seams....it is round globular shape with vertical ribs that swirl around the shoulder & lower neck.....rough pontil scar on bottom with an iron deposit in middle....crude flared out sheared lip....pretty green.....8 1/2"tall...Excellent condition with only one small shallow chip on edge of lip; no other damage. Only some faint inside haze. I believe this interesting crude bottle was hand blown in the early 1800s or possibly the 1700s...It resembles the Persian saddle flasks...It has some kind of odd woolen stopper?....
