Description: Selling my early Modulus Quantum 4 (Q4), all original in overall excellent condition. This1992 US -made bass is from the classic GOuld/Dorsch era of Modulus Graphite. The color is Transparent Red and it is cosmetically in excellent condition throughout, with two minor caveats listed below, with pics. The finish is super clean, especially for a 32-year-old bass —crisp and clear, no dings, dents or chips.Unlikely to find another from this era in this condition. These early Modulus have no truss rods but the neck, fretboard and frets were professionally restored to original specs last year by Jerry Dorsch, now of of Graphite Guitar Systems. I purchased the bass two years ago from the original owner but it had a bit more relief than I liked, so I shipped Jerry the neck and he planed the fretboard and installed all new frets, restoring it to like-new.I believe the body is alder with a quilt maple top. This Q4 is 35” scale, with a carbon fiber graphite neck and phenolic fretboard. It has the original EMG soapbox pickups and 9V 2-band EQ, in fine working order. The only two cosmetic issues (see pics) are a small wear spot above the neck pickup and some slight milkiness on the top half of the neck’s back, difficult to photograph. Neither affect playability. Weighs 8.4 lbs. and strung with new D’Addario rounds. It comes with the original tolex Modulus case. a bit scuffed but all hinges and latches in very good shape and work fine. Inside it's clean with no funky smells. Local pickup possible or would meet part way a reasonable distance in a public place.
