EARLY MODEL PARKER 25 FOUNTAIN PEN, BLACK TRIM FLIGHTER. VERY GOOD CONDITION

Description: Parker 25 Flighter in black trim with medium nib, from my collection. This pen is in very good used condition and the black trim is not as common as the blue trim. I had this pen for many years and had used it until my workplace became fully paperless. It worked very well and was cleaned before it was put away. This is my favorite fountain pen model. I own several of this model and have been using them for decades. These pens were produced from 1975 to 1994. Date codes were only added to the 25 model in 1980 and till 1979 the nib had a breather hole. Additionally, earlier pens had “Made in England" stamped on them, while later ones had “Made in UK”. Since this pen does not have a date code, it is stamped “Made in England” and the medium nib does not have the hole, I assume it was produced in late 1979 or early 1980. If this information is incorrect, please let me know and I’ll update the listing.It is a tough pen that is almost indestructible (but don’t try to drop it on the nib). I had one of those left in a shirt pocket and it went through a whole laundry cycle. It came out nice and clean, without a leak (and that was a white laundry load!).
