Description: EARLY CAST IRON FRENCH WAFFLE IRON This is a nice old French waffle iron.It has long handles and is hinged to open flat.It was used to make the thin sweet wafer waffles of France.The round disc has a diamond design cut into it that forms 6 pie shaped triangles.It is made of cast iron.The iron was used by pouring waffle batter onto the disc and heated over a flame to bake into a sweet treat.
