Description: An old Ophthalometer by FA Hardy & Co. Looks like an early patent date of Aug 22, 1899. Old estate item, it does show some soiling and wear, scratches, paint chips, etc. It did light up at the estate, but I can't get it to turn on now, it has to be something fairly simple a loose wire, bad connection/switch, etc. I am not an expert, so I am unsure as to completeness, please study photos and decide for your self. The front dial raises and lowers the chin rest. The left dial moves the whole top unit forwards and backwards. The bottom right dial just unscrew off of the bolt, not sure what it is for/does. The dual sided, center dial, it moves the bar under the scope, but nothing seems to move other than the bar, not sure if it is a focusing know, I can't tell any difference looking through the scope. Some peppering on glass looking through the scope. Sold AS IS, please do not buy if that is an issue. Please see the photos and email any questions. Buyer pays shipping. Postage has increased again, so please see cost before bidding, dimensions and/or weight can make it expensive. If you choose ground shipping, please remember it can also be VERY slow sometimes. I will most likely ship in 2 boxes, the main scope/dish unit, and I will unbolt the chin bracket arm, and ship it with the base. Pickup would be great if you are close.
