Description: FABULOUS EAGLE WITH BODY OF ANIMAL Wonderful sculpture-like piece. This eagle/animal is fabulous!! The front of the piece and wings are all eagle. The back two legs and back half of the body are an unidentified animal. The piece is WONDERFUL! It is s approximately 7 1/4" tall and 8" wide and 7" long The outside of the wings have dimensional ridged carving. The wings and tail are removable . Alebrijes are Mexico's fantastic, imaginative figures - they are often called "creatures of the dreams and the imagination". They are hand-carved and hand-painted of copal wood in Central Mexico where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces.
