Shepard (1879-1976), with a gravure frontispiece portrait of the author aged 7, and 127 illustrations by the author. It was published by Methuen & Co., Ltd., of London, in 1971 and was the first reprint of the 1957 FIRST EDITION. This book is a delightful childhood memoir by the much-loved illustrator of Winnie the Pooh, The Wind in the Willows and Punch. In this autobiography, E. H. Shepard describes a classic Victorian childhood. Recalling this time with charm and humour, he lavishly illustrates over 100 scenes and characters in his typically charming style.
