I put a Banks Engineering 3 inch stainless cat-back exhaust system on my 2007 Nissan Frontier 4x4 few years back. Dumb move, but anyways I got a terrible resonance in the cab. Drove me nuts and I have bad hearing to boot, but still could hear it. I read about these auger type noise reducers so I bought one and installed it. Mine is in a situation where I didnt have to weld it. It when in easily. The true test was going down the highway. Oh my, what a major difference. It was very close to the OEM exhaust in noise produces. This is the best money I spend to fix my exhaust. I dont feel the restriction is going to hurt my engine any at especially with an overkill 3 inch exhaust system.
