Description: Welcome to The Textile Trunk~ please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk ~*~* Such beautiful dyed linen! This is a wonderful antique European grain sack dating from the second half of the 19th century! These sacks were hand woven and once used for storing grains. Recently, these sacks were dyed to create a gorgeous tone of blue. ~ This sack features a unique caramel stripe, please see the photos for more detail. The quality is AMAZING ~ all woven by hand ~ I was lucky to find many of these sacks and so we have a few varieties of tones and stripes for you to browse on our eBay store! ~ These textiles were made to stand the test of time and are ideal for upholstery projects, pillow covers, bath mats, table runners, dog beds, curtains, lampshades etc! ~ ITEM SPECIFICS Color/ tone : Gray lavender/cornflower blueMEASUREMENTS : This grain sack measures 19 inches wide by 42 inches longWeave/Weight: This sack has a plain weave, and is mid-weight. CONDITION : This sack is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~Generally, this sack is in lovely condition indeed!! This sack is cut open at the bottom, meaning both ends of this sack are open. There are a couple of small holes. This sack would be great for projects! The caramel stripes on these sacks are printed, so know that multiple washes will cause them to fade. Because these sacks are hand woven, you may find some small pulls in the weave, but otherwise this textile is in wonderful condition and could be used for any wide variety of projects!
