Used, lots of tiny scratches although difficult to see unless you look hard to see them. If you inspect the pictures you can see the tiny scratches but they are of no consequence because they are overridden by the hand hammering. It's a beautiful display piece and hold 5 gallons of your favorite beverage. Just to confirm I filled it with water to make sure it holds 5 gallons and it actually holds 5 gallons and 1 quart.
