Description: HERE IS A 3 1/4" X 5 1/2" GOVERNMENT POSTCARD, SIGNED BY "DUTCH" MEYER. IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITH LIGHT WEAR. POSTCARD IS DATED JUNE 22, 1948. DUTCH MEYER WAS A 2ND BASEMAN FOR 6 YEARS IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES: WITH THE CHICAGO CUBS IN 1937; WITH THE DETROIT TIGERS FROM 1940-42; AND WITH THE CLEVELAND INDIANS FROM 1945-46. HE APPEARED IN 286 GAMES, AND RETIRED WITH A CAREER BATTING AVERAGE OF .264. LAMBERT "DUTCH" MEYER DIED JANUARY 19, 2003.
