Description: Van Ryper started his ship-modeling business in 1933 in Martha’s Vineyard. The idea was straight forward — make handmade models in a very recognizable style. The name is famous, and the models are outstanding. But being 80-90 years old now, they are quite rare. This is a Van Ryper model of Canadian Pacific Line’s RMS Duchess of Bedford of 1929. It is in very good condition with some chipping to the paint at bows, which could be quite easily corrected. In the original box from Van Ryper. Measures about 10″ long.
