He was born in Santa Clara in 1975. He studied from 1985 to 1989 at the Santa Clara Elementary School of Art. Between 1990 and 1994 he studied at the Oscar F. Morera Professional School of Art, (Technician in Plastic Arts, Ceramics, Graphic Design and Mural Painting Restoration) in Trinidad. From 1999 to 2004 he studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), (Bachelor of Painting, Gold Title) and from 2002 to 2004 at the Cátedra Arte Conducta (Postgraduate). Higher Institute of Art (ISA) of Havana. His work is defined by the concepts and reflections that drive him rather than by the diversity of technical media and supports with which he creates. Video, photography, installation, sculpture, performance, ceramics, sitespecificworks, even curatorship, have allowed him to draw up a discourse that points to the "notion of reality" as a relative experience. Most of his works are devices close to the simulacrum in which his observers search for meanings and attribute meanings. In the plurality of this perceptual exercise, the socio-political, psychological and sensory conditioning of each person prevails, which serve the artist to demonstrate the impossibility of a univocal reading of the world.Awards1995 Critics Award, Provincial Salon of Plastic Arts. Realizó estudios desde 1985 hasta 1989 en la Escuela Elemental de Arte de Santa Clara. Entre los años 1990 y 1994 estudió en la Escuela Profesional de Arte Oscar F. Morera, (Técnico en Artes Plásticas, Cerámica, Diseño Grafico y Restauración de Pintura Mural) en Trinidad. Desde 1999 hasta 2004 estudió en el Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), (Licenciatura en Pintura, Titulo de Oro) y desde 2002 hasta 2004 en la Cátedra Arte Conducta (Postgrado). Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) de la Habana. Su trabajo se define por los conceptos y reflexiones que lo impulsan antes que por esa diversidad de medios técnicos y soportes con los que crea. Vídeo, fotografía, instalación, escultura, performance, cerámica, sitespecificworks, incluso, curaduría, le han permitido trazar un discurso que apunta a la “noción de realidad” como una experiencia relativa. Las más de sus obras son dispositivos próximos al simulacro en los que sus observadores buscan significados y atribuyen sentidos. En la pluralidad de este ejercicio perceptivo privan los condicionamientos sociopolíticos, psicológicos y sensoriales de cada persona, que sirven al artista para evidenciar la imposibilidad de una lectura unívoca del mundo.
