Description: William Whitney Christmas [1865 1960] was a American physician, aviation pioneer and Early Bird who made his first flight in March of 1908 in a plane of his own design. In 1912 he set several endurance and ceiling records and held patent on approximately 300 inventions which included a early design on the aileron. Listed for auction is the autograph of Frederick Koolhoven signed on a autograph card. The autograph is signed ''Dr. William W. Christmas'' in black fountain pen and the card measures 4.25 x 3.50 inches. The card has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition and will be accompanied by its original transmittal envelope. The autograph is authentic and is a rare example of this Early Bird and aviation pioneer.
