Description: Vintage Dr. Lynas' Vegetable Marvel Soap Label Logansport, Indiana Vintage Dr. Lynas' Vegetable Marvel Soap Label Logansport, Indiana Click images to enlarge Description Up for sale is a very nice original unused vintage 1920's label for Dr. Lynas' Vegetable Marvel Soap from Dr. J. B. Lynas & Son in Logansport, Indiana. I have scanned the back side of the label, which goes into detail on the uses of this soap for eczema, pimples, dandruff, blackheads, chapped hands, rashes, tetter, and salt rheum, and extols the many benefits of this Marvel Soap. Dr. Lynas was an early pioneer in the home shopping network similar to Raleigh, Watkins, and Jewel, beginning before 1900 and spanning into the early 1960's, with representatives all over the country selling home products door to door. The size is 7 7/8" x 5 1/8", and it is in excellent unused condition, the color is a little darker than the scan shows, it is a mint green. This is a lovely label, and would be a great addition to a cosmetic collection, for bathroom decor, framed and put on a wall, or even wrapped around a small bar of soap for display.
