These are available at Harbor Freight and can be picked up locally to save on shipping costs: - 12” clamp, SKU # 96214- 6” clamp, SKU #96210 Use as a Red Shed Toolworks bleeder system with quick connector or as an upgrade to fit additional models to your existing brake bleeder. It can also be fit to other brand brake bleeders. It is not intended to fit bleeders that are not equipped with a quick connector. These are sold as DIY parts because we do not do the build. You build it. Its simple, just cut off the spray handle, heat the hose just a bit to soften the plastic and push on to the adapter.This brake bleeder fitting is specifically designed for bleeding single and dual axle disk brakes found on many boat trailers. Troubleshooting Detection of minor leakage at the master cylinder and/or fittings is not a sign of manufacturing defects. Depending on location of the leak will lead to different solutions. - Between adapter and master cylinder: it is the rubber cap seal on your UFP master cylinder is old and hard. This is usually addressed by resetting the adapter and re clamping it. However you should consider a new seal or master cylinder as if it leaks fluid out, it will certainly leak water in. - Between adapter and quick connector: These are the best on the market but they can seep, try turning the coupler in relation to the adapter or reset. This is not warranty. Only a wide open leak where all pressure is lost will be warrantied. - Between the coupler and gate valve: This is maintenance of the Teflon tape seal. Try tightening fitting. Optionally remove, add teflon tape, add a layer or two and reinstall. If you can replace and bleed brakes, you also can reseal fittings! Returns and Exchanges This DIY item is under limited 30-day warranty and NOT returnable.The custom machined aluminum adapter and valve are guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects for a 30-day period beginning after receipt of product. Manufacturing defects are those considered to adversely affect the function of the product and does not include aesthetic or cosmetic problems as defective. Do not add fluid to your system until you have checked the fitment of the adapter to your master cylinder. This is because we have no idea what fluid you used. There is an alcohol-based indicator in the tank that will immediately disappear when you add fluid. That way we can determine if the product has been exposed to brake fluid or other oil products whether it has been used or not. Once used, it is not returnable and only the limited warranty terms may apply. Terms of Limited Warranty - If you bought an adapter and it is unused and it does not fit your system: Mistakes happen, in this case you ordered the wrong adapter. Do not make things worse by adding fluid. Contact me within 15 days of when tracking shows it was delivered and ask for a return authorization. This return must be done with us and not through eBay. If you file a return with eBay we will not accept the return. You will be required to pay return shipping and return the item in the same condition as you received it (new and unused). When it is received, it will be inspected and if it passes you will be refunded your purchase price less shipping. In other words, buyer pays shipping both ways. If you put any liquid into the unit, it will be marked as used and the return/refund will not be issued. If you want the items returned you will have to pay shipping again to get it back. Check fit before adding brake fluid! - If you bought it and can document it is defective after adding fluid and within the warranty period: Contact me for warranty repair. See 30-day warranty below. - If the gate valve itself leaks through the stem: Gate valve leaks are covered under 30-day limited warranty. See below. 30-day limited Warranty Warranty begins when tracking shows you received this item. The aluminum adapter is hand machined by us here in the United States. It is warrantied against defects and failure by us for 30 days. Additionally, even though we do not make the shut-off gate valve it is also included in this warranty. Contact us first for a replacement and plan to send photos as this could eliminate the need for you to send in the old part. With proper photos, we will warranty the adapter, valve or both and ship to you the replacement part(s) at no cost to you. You will have to install the new part yourself. For us to install and warranty the adapter or the shut off valve you agree to pay return shipping and return the entire system. When it is received, it will be inspected and if it is defective, we will repair and ship back to you under warranty. Stripped threads, crushed/bent handles, cross threading damage, lack of thread sealants (dope or Teflon tape), misuse of sealants, petroleum distillate (motor oil) damage is considered product misuse and abuse and will not be warrantied.No returns outside of the terms of the limited warranty will be accepted.
