The strap and base are PVC plastic made to look like faux leather/skin like look and decorated with quartz stones and silver studs/rivets. Bag has a nice retro hippie-style look. The strap is 1 - 3/8" wide with a drop length of 10" and overall length of 20". I would call it a crook-of-arm or short shoulder bag. It measures 16" long by 12" high by 5" wide.
