In general I recommend cleaning all lps before playback, as most have not been machine cleaned. NM+ usually means the lp looks brand new or like it was never played. NM usually means that the lp has no significant marks and plays with little noise. NM- will have some sleeve residue, minor surface wear, surface noise, and/or minor marks. E will show medium wear or surface marks and will have surface noise. VG will have heavy wear and significant marks and scratches and will play with considerable surface noise. Jackets - I try to mention significant damage like seam splits, writing and corner creases, but most jackets will show some minor signs of age or shelf wear, even jackets rated NM. NM+ jackets are usually new or in original plastic. Items are sold AS-IS with no returns/refunds.
