For those wishing to keep their Roadster original using the OEM Fuel Pump that came with their cars (and not pay up to $250 for New Old Stock) this Kit will get many 1500/1600/2000 Roadsters back on the Road. Datsun (Nissan) used a couple Japanese Fuel Pump suppliers / designs so this Kit is not a one Kit fits all proposition. It boils down to if the Fuel Pump that originally came on your car (and some early replacement pumps) is of the rebuildable type. That is determined by if the diaphragm is easily disassembled and has the "T" style bottom shaft as pictured in the photos. To check for this take off the six screws holding the top section of fuel pump onto the bottom half. Once done compress the diaphragm down while turning the Diaphragm 90 degrees. If the Diaphragm releases from the two actuator forks retaining the "T" shaft of the Diaphragm you should be good. Also check your overall diameter of your old Diaphragm, it should be about 3 and 17/64 inches edge to edge. Screw hole distance center hole to center hole should be 2 and 7/8 inches. A 1967.5 Roadster owner mentioned his rebuildable Denki Fuel Pump had slightly different dimensions and the Diaphragm in my kit would not fit. Please confirm this BEFORE buying this Kit. This is the most complete Kits you will find. This comes with: 1. New OEM Diaphragm 2. Two new OEM Fuel valves 3. Two OEM Fuel Valve Seals / Washers. Inventory found overseas. Not available from Nissan USA for years. 4. Top OEM Dome Seal (replaced when accessing the fuel valves) 5. OEM Fuel Pump Spacer with pre-installed front and back side Gaskets. This must be used otherwise Fuel Pump / Camshaft damage can occur. 6. OEM Oil Seal, Stock found overseas. Not available from Nissan USA for years. Kits also available without the oil seal if you do not need it and want to save money. You should be able to reuse your original Diaphragm Spring, and Diaphragm Shaft Retainer Ring.
