Description: Hello, thank you for taking the time to check out my one-of-a-kind track car. This Yamaha R1-powered track car has been purpose-built for track days, solo racing, and SCCA events. It has been a project of mine that spanned quite a few years. I am a mechanical engineer and an AWS-certified welder, and I built this car entirely by myself. I designed the chassis to be similar to the DSR specifications of the SCCA. The body panels currently on the car are made of resin-infused carbon fiber. The hood panel is complete, but the front nose section only has the outer skins. To add rigidity, this section still needs the internal structural sections. Estimated weight is 750-800 lbs. Ground clearance is roughly 1.5"Does not have reverse (as most cycle cars do not)The car runs and drives great! However, I have only had it out in first gear in my neighborhood a few times before the cops showed up. However, since the wheelbase is common, you can find a donor car for a body.- The bolts used in the build are mostly black oxide and have a thin layer of rust. Replacing them with stainless bolts would be a good idea.- The car needs new tires. The current ones were purchased and used just for the purpose of moving the car around during the build process.Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos.
