Description: What an exquisite piece of cross-stitch work this is, and in such a tiny stitch count--at least 14 per inch if not more (my eyes nearly crossed trying to count but it could be 18!) Obviously a labor of love. It is a poem and picture of ducks on a pond and in a blind behind some rushes, all on a "natural" or unbleached background fabric of a tight cotton weave. THe poem reads: All along the backwater, Through the rushes tall, Ducks are a-dabbling, Up tails all!" This was completed by an expert needlewoman and is encased in a custom frame in excellent condition. The frame itself is very well-made and has bumper buttons at the bottom to keep it entirely upright and away from the wall when hung. A lovely item for a sportsman's man cave or office! The cross-stitch piece is 6" x 9" and the frame itself is approximately 11.5" x 15". Obviously this will have to be packed carefully to preserve the glass. The frame is solid wood and heavy, so that will add to the priority mail shipping expense. You won't regret it, though! A great Christmas gift for your duck hunting friend.
