Description: Cross-stitch of Boy/Girl on donkey in traditional South Korean Hanbok attire. While visiting my father in South Korea in 1999, my step brother’s wife crossstitched this piece for me and is the only provenance. It’s a lovely little picture of a South Korean boy and girl on a mule with birds and grass. Other than the simple story, I do not know if there is any custom or cultural significance in the story as represented by the little boy and girl and the mule. I do know they are wearing the traditional hanbok that the South Koreans still wear to this day. The fabric is framed under glass and is in excellent condition.
