Measures approximately 8” diameter. Appropriately hallmarked on underside (photo). Features a central decor motif called “LE COUREUR” or The Runner”. “Cirque Olympique Franconi” c1840. An example of this plate is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Black print transferware. High glaze finish. NOTE - a surface chip is present on top rim (last two pictures). Mild top scuff. Lovely surround of horses and knights (photo). Clean. VERY GOOD, preowned, antique, used condition. No other chips, cracks, breaks, hairlines or restorations that I can see.
