Description: COPPER after CUPRITE CRYSTALS - 1.5 cm - ITAUZ MINE, KAZAKHSTAN 26891 COPPER after CUPRITE CRYSTALS - 1.5 cm - ITAUZ MINE, KAZAKHSTAN This location is known for producing some of the world's finest copper specimens due to the beautifully detailed branching formations of sharp crystals. At the Tucson shows we picked thumbnail specimens from a box with hundreds to choose from. This thumbnail was one of the best of them. The specimen is a group of cubic cuprite crystals that has almost entirely altered to copper. It is complete all around, undamaged and a floater with no point of attachment. It features many small copper crystals on the still discernible cubic faces of the specimen. You can see incredible details with a 10x loupe. The specimen will be shipped mounted on a clear acrylic display square. Non permanent mounting allows it to be easily removed.
