A scarce juvenile title, evidently not in Gumuchian, Osborn, Lowndes, etc. Period 1/4 leather binding, smooth spine, gilt bands & compartment decorations, gilt title lettering, marbled covers. Both covers essentially detached, spine creased with chipping at ends, but text block remains clean, tight, and sound. Text block remains overall clean, and displays a pleasing age patina. Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
