Description: Conn 1949 Cornet in fair to poor condition. I am listing it for parts due to the condition. The valves are good and are fast and smooth. It has many dents and only the main bell tuner and second slide is removable. I have the button from the second slide I will send along. The first, third, and main slides are stuck. Someone before me tried to remove the main tuning slide and there is some damage but I am not sure of the issue now. I am not a brass technician so I can not help this. I gave it a quick bath and replaced corks and springs. It actually plays good using the proper Conn short shank mouthpiece. All Conn cornets before 1955 need the Conn short shank mouthpiece to play correctly and in tune. It will play in tune by using the main tuner on the bell. No mouthpiece included. No case.
