Description: The cast brass buckle from the 1720 – 1750 period was excavated in the Yorktown/Williamsburg area of Virginia. This type buckle was used on both spurs and leggings. A part of an older collection most of the artifacts were from areas of military occupation. The display includes two flat decorated buttons from the late 1700’s excavated from colonial house sites in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area. The buckle measures 1” by 1 ½”. The artifacts come as shown in a 3” x 4” riker style case. All of the artifacts are guaranteed to be original as stated. A hand signed and dated “Certificate of Authenticity” will be issued by Collectors Frame with a photograph and description of the items purchased.
