Description: This listing is for an authentic, vintage Collins rafting pattern axe, on 28 3/4” Purple Heart. This axe was restored and built in San Francisco, California at Stunner Blades Customs. The Rafting pattern head is very lightly pitted with natural patina left. The bit was reground convex and is very sharp. The helve was carved from exotic Purple Heart timber. Total length is 28 3/4” in length, with the last 10” towards the swell octagonal. The head was well seated and wedged full with Yellow Poplar. This axe was finished with boiled linseed oil for a clean grip and hand feel. This axe will be securely packaged and promptly shipped.
