Description: This sale is for a Vale/Colclough China Teacup and Saucer from different periods of time, same company. A little history of Colclough China to explain the different makers marks on these two pieces.: An ex mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, Herbert Joseph Colclough founded Colclough China in 1890. In the early 1900's moved to the Vale potteries in Longton. The Vale mark on the Teacup was use after the move but before 1913. The Colclough mark on the Saucer was used post war c.1945-1948. The Teacup measures approximately 3 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches tall.The Saucer measures approximately 5 3/8 inches in diameter and 1 inch tall.
