Coalport Coalbrookdale Hand Painted Floral Encrusted & Gold Vase Circa 1835

Description: Coalport Coalbrookdale Hand Painted Floral Encrusted & Gold Vase Circa 1835 Nice antique British bone china vase with relief molded and gilt highlighted Rococo scrollwork. Decorated with hand painted central flowers in pink, orange, blue, white, yellow, and purple. Has hand painted flowers and butterflies on the neck and hand painted flowers around the base. With encrusted and hand painted flowers around the central portion of the vase. Unmarked. A vase in the same shape is pictured in the book Coalport and Coalbrookdale Porcelains by Geoffrey Godden. Circa 1835. Has crazing typical of bone china, some staining, and wear to the gilding. Has numerous small flakes and chips to the encrusted flowers and leaves, and some larger losses to the encrusted leaves. Also has some small firing separations or discolored hairlines around where one of the handles is applied and a hairline through the scrolled portion of the where the top of the handles are applied. Also has a small in manufacture firing separation off the rim of the vase. Measures approximately 6 7/8 inches wide from handle to handle x 10 3/8 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
