STAMP Only hours before the advent of Amtrak C&O No. 2, the last eastbound run of the George Washington, roars out of Cincinnati Union Terminal, Apr. 30, 1971. The great Terminal looms in the background and was opened in 1933. It was used by Amtrak until Oct. 28, 1972 with last train being eastbound J.W. Riley. The concourse was torn down in 1973.
