The tangled spaghetti-like cluster of algae makes a perfect home for small beneficial benthic creatures like copepods, isopods, and amphipods. Many reefers utilize a refugium setting to grow the algae within the sump which makes harvesting and managing the growth a breeze. The other huge benefit growing CleanChaeto can be used for is to help moderate your aquarium's pH levels by utilizing a reverse photo-period from your display tank. Using Chaeto as a natural method of nitrate and phosphate control has been a proven method of managing your tank's nutrients without having to use any chemicals. 2oz (approx softball size)How To Add CleanChaeto to your AquariumAdding macroalgae is pretty easy and we highly suggest quarantining or at a minimum rinsing the algae with fresh saltwater before it is added to your tank. It will grow best in a dedicated refugium that has a moderate flow with a proper horticulture spectrum light like the Kessil H-series LED fixtures.
