Description: When the legendary MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW ended its run in March 1977, its spinoff series PHYLLIS was canceled, leaving the popular series RHODA the only show from MTM on the air. This is a very unique and rare reproduction of a well written RHODA episode, YOUR OLD FRIEND PHYLLIS. What makes this rare is the episode, although written by sitcom writing legend David Lloyd, it was never produced. It was assigned a production number and first draft scripts were distributed, but for unknown reasons that’s as far as it got. What would have been a fourth season episode featuring Phyllis stranded in New York, so she drops in on Rhoda. Their classic banter is evident in the script and leaves you wondering what could have been...As far as timing, both MARY TYLER MOORE and PHYLLIS aired their final episodes in March, 1977. This first draft is dated June 20, 1977 and was completed before fourth season production would have begun shortly thereafter in July. Nicely bound for easy reading with a clear cover, the script cover has been fully reproduced in color to better capture it’s vintage nature.
