Description: Sadly, the time has come to downsize so I will be selling some of my favorite collections. Since Christmas is coming, I am starting with the Department 56 Alpine Village series. I have collected these over many years, but only displayed this one once. It is absolutely complete down to the outside lights. I am the original owner. Christmas would not be the same without the classic Sound of Music. Today's piece is the imposing Von Trapp family villa where Maria lived with Captain von Trapp and his 7 children. Each of the children is represented in the figures standing outside the house along with their father and Maria. There is also a free-standing gate. Released in 1998 and retired in 2002, this large piece comes in its original box and styrofoam packaging. I am very careful with my collection, so you can be sure this model is in perfect, like new condition. The original working light and cord have never been used and are included. I used a spare light for the photos. The box sleeve is in good condition. but with some slight damage to the corners. Please see the photos. I can say with complete confidence that a brand new model would be in no better condition. The trees in the background are not included in the sale.
