THE BODICE IS BASED IN A GLAZED COTTON WITH A FAN OF BONING IN THE FRONT WITH BONING AT THE SIDES AND REAR. THE GAUZE IS SHEER THROUGHOUT WITH THREE ROWS OF RUFFLES AT THE BOTTOM SHORT BELL SLEEVES. HAND HAMMERED HOOK AND EYES CLOSE THE INNER BODICE WITH NO CLOSURES TO THE ORGANDY OF THE TOP. THE UNDER SKIRT IS IN LAYERED RUFFLES THROUGH THE FRONT WHICH ROUND TO THE SIDES WITH FIVE ROWS OF RUFFLES THROUGHOUT THE REAR. HOOK AND EYE CLOSES THE BACK. THE OVER SKIRT HAS A CRESCENT OF RUFFLING AROUND THE REAR AND IS SHEER IN THE CENTER WITH RUFFLING AROUND THE SIDES AND ROUNDED BOTTOM. PLEASE NOTE THE WHITE PETTICOAT THAT THE DRESS IS PICTURED WITH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE. CONDITION: THE BODICE HAS UNDERARM DISCOLORATION, AN OVERALL DARKER AGE COLOR THAN THE SKIRTING WITH A CENTER TEAR IN THE VERY FRONT AND A SMALL TEAR SEEN ON EACH SHOULDER. I PERSONALLY WOULD REFASHION THE TOP SLIGHTLY TO RESOLVE THE DAMAGE AND HIDE THE SPLITS ON THE SHOULDER. THE SKIRTING HAS SIX INCHES OF THE SIDE LEFT SEAM JUST BENEATH THE WAISTBAND OPEN AND IN NEED OF A MEND WITH TWO INCHES ON THE SAME SEAM JUST ABOVE THE RUFFLING NEEDING A STITCH WITH TWO PINHEAD HOLES AND ONE FINGERTIP HOLE. THE BOTTOM EDGE RUFFLING HAS SOME DARKER AGE DISCOLORATION AND THE WAISTBAND HAS SEEN SMALL WEAR OF THE HOOK CLOSURE, IN NEED OF A SMALL REPAIR. THE OVER SKIRTING HAS A SMALL AMOUNT OF AGE COLOR WITH A THUMBPRINT OF A DARK STAIN ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT SIDE AND TWO SMALL HOLES FINGERTIP IN SIZE NEAR THE TOP HIDDEN NEAR THE TOP RUFFLING. AN ABSOLUTELY SHOW STOPPING CIVIL WAR ERA ENSEMBLE. SO ROMANTIC AND IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COLORING.
