Three each of Cylindropuntia versicolor (commonly known as Staghorn Cholla) and Cylindropuntia spinosior (commonly known as Cane Cholla or Walkingstick Cactus). These cuttings are live, non-rooted, softwood segments ranging from 4" to 6" in length.The branches of Staghorn Cholla have a mixture of green and purple colors. New growth especially displays the purple color. As the segments mature, they become more of a mixture of gray, green & purple together. Flowers are commonly red to magenta in color. They cover the tip branches in mid- to late- spring, making it one of the most noticeable of all the large flowering cacti. Fruit ripens yellow in the summer. It is NOT desirable for eating. Staghorn Cholla's mature size can be up to 8' tall and 6' wide. Staghorn Cholla is very easy to grow, requiring little to no care and very minimal water. It can sustain cold temperatures down to approximately 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Cane Cholla is one of the most refined looking and beautiful species in the Cholla family. It's dark green branch segments are covered with white / gray spines which appear to glow as the sun illuminates them. Flowers are commonly red to magenta but can also be yellow with red stripes.
