Description: A small and heavy Peking glass brush wash carefully crafted to closely resemble pale green jade with apple green jade “inclusions”. The pale translucent green color is spotted irregularly with darker apple green coloring. It seems to almost glow from within when the light hits it. The brush wash is faceted, a ridged mouth, a shallow flat foot and a slightly concave base. The glass is very smooth from years of use and feels very soft and smooth in the hand. The foot shows wear from movement back and forth on a surface. There are no marks or labels. MEASUREMENTS 2 5/8” (6.7 cm) diameter x 2 ½” (6.4 cm) tall. Weighs 6.0 oz (170 g) CONDITION There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repairs. There are tiny nicks around the mouth and slight wear to the body. There are manufacture errors like black spots and a black line on one of the facets. The line looks like ink, but I wasn’t able to remove it. A scholar's object that feels so good in the hand just like jade, and it has a look of jade too.
