Description: A small sized Chinese hand warmer with a peony blossom on the lid with smoke and burn marks on the inside. It was definitely used. The heavy bronze has a good gold color. The lid is pierced and has a scallop pattern with a solid design of a peony blossom with leaves. The handle moves but it’s tight. The base is flat. An impressed mark on the base reads MADE IN CHINA. MEASUREMENTS 4 3/8” (11.0 cm) long x 3 ¾” (9.5 cm) wide x 3 ½” (8.9 cm) tall. Weighs 7.8 oz (220 g) CONDITION There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs. There is corrosion where the handle attaches to the body, spots of corrosion on the base, and a couple of spots on the shoulder of the lid. A work of folk art that was used.
