Description: Up for bid is a wonderful vintage Christmas postcard. I'm certain that the artist who provided the art work for this card was Frances Brundage, for it epitomizes her style. This card features a colorful lithographic illustration of two lovely post-Victorian era children dressed in winter period attire, playing in the snow. The scene is framed within an ornate gold and "stained glass" border that is decorated with holly sprigs at the corners. When you supersize image 1 you can see the wonderful details. Notice the beautifully printed greeting below. The artistry is terrific and the colors are still vivid. Printed in pre-WWI Germany, and published by Raphael Tuck and Sons (one of Brundage's favorite publishers), this beautifully embossed postcard has not been posted and has handwriting on the divided back. When you supersize image 2 you can see the handwritten "Dec. 1910" date on the back. Here is a fabulous 110 year-old card that is ready for framing, to be given as a thoughtful gift, or it can be added to your postcard collection. Some lucky collector gets to take this lovely card home. Will it be you?!? CHILDREN PLAY In SNOW On Uns.
