This handcrafted cutting board features alternating pieces of cherry and maple hardwood where the width of each piece is the sum of the previous two smaller pieces in millimeters, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 mm, etc. This creates a Fibonacci sequence pattern in the wood that only the proud owner of a high-end graphing calculator can fully appreciate. Everything is held together with a food safe glue. Hand holds are cut into all sides for easy lifting. And the board comes pre-seasoned with cutting board oil and a coat of cutting board wax. I can toss in some oil and wax with the board for an extra charge that’ll keep it looking top-notch for many meals to come. Please note, all the cutting boards I make come from natural materials and because of this, the item in the pictures will not look exactly like the item you receive. Grain patterns, features, colors, etc. can vary from piece to piece and even from one side of the board to the other. These spiffy hunks of timber are handcrafted with great attention to detail paid but they’re still as unique as a unicorn on a leap day.
