Description: Charlie Malarkey by Glenis Stott When Rochesters Circus arrived in Nesselton-on-Sea for its yearly three month stint, no one expected that Charlie Malarkey the Clown would make such a difference to some of the people in the town. Even Charlie himself was amazed at the events of that summer. It all started when Danny, age 13, set fire to Charlies caravan, completely destroying it. Charlies life was turned upside down but he soon came to realise it was a price worth paying. FORMAT Paperback LANGUAGE English CONDITION Brand New Author Biography Glenis Stott lives in Lancashire with her husband and two black cats. She began writing when her daughter died in 1999. At first it served to help her with her loss but, in time, she began to enjoy writing for its own sake. After taking several online writing courses with the, sadly now defunct, trAce writing school, she then took Manchester Metropolitan Universitys MA Creative Writing (online) course, graduating in July 2006. She has had a variety of jobs ranging from radiographer to working on a young persons helpline. Now she doesnt go out to work but having recently moved to the seaside, she spends a lot of time wandering along the beach with her husband instead of writing. Glenis has published three other novels: Without, the story of a dystopia where nothing is new and every action is watched by Agnes the Guardian; Jo Minus Amy, in which Jo makes herself a new life after the death of her daughter; and Brother Lijah Built the Ark in which Liam is taken in off the streets by a religious community, an event which he appreciates but he soon finds out that life there is not what he expected.
