Description: This is a rare March 31st, 1930 broadside (single page playbill) from the one-week, Post-Broadway engagement of the OSCAR STRAUS, STANISLAUS STANGE, RUDOLPH BERNAUER and LEOPOLD JACOBSON light opera "THE CHOCOLATE SOLDIER" at the Providence Opera House in Providence, Rhode Island. (The Original Broadway production opened September 13th, 1909 at New York's Lyric Theatre and ran for 295 performances. This revival opened January 27th, 1930 at Jolson's Theatre in New York City and ran for only 25 performances before going on the road.) .....
