Description: Charles Ahrenfeldt Crown Saxe Hand Painted Purple & Orange Tulips & Gold Cup A Nice porcelain chocolate cup with relief molded floral design along the top. Decorated with large hand painted Art Nouveau orange and purple tulip flowers with gold leaves. Gold gilding along the rim and gold highlights to the handle. Marked on the reverse with the crown SAXE mark. This mark was used by Charles Ahrenfeldt in Austria between 1886 and 1910. Also marked on the bottom with the pattern number 2984/933 in green. Also has an importer's mark for Gilman Collamore & Co Fifth Avenue & 30th St New York. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 3 5/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 7/8 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. ET
