Description: This blue jay is carved from a half log of scotch pine. It is sealed with spar urethane giving it a glossy protective finish. It was carved primarily with a chainsaw. A few power tools were used as well. This piece is an interior piece. The dimensions are as follows: roughly 15" tall, 11" wide and 3" thick. As the carving ages some cracking is possible. Cracking is a common occurrence in wood carvings.
