Description: From our private collection we are pleased to be able to offer Immaculate pair of “Tudric” pewter candle sticks designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co. c.1905. Typical of Knox’s work the design marries ancient Celtic and English forms with the Art Nouveau. Standing just over 5″ tall, removable bobeches fit neatly into a stem molded with a woven pattern of Celtic influence on a 4¼” diameter foot pierced in the shape of a Tudor rose. Clearly stamped on the underside ‘Tudric English Pewter Liberty & Co’ together with the design number 022. These candlesticks were obtained in unpolished condition and professionally polished to restore them to near perfect original condition. Dimensions: diameter of base 4¼”, height 5¼”. Date made: 1898-1912 We believe we have the pieces in our collection fairly priced for collectors given the rarity and condition of most of them We tend not to make offers to watchers but almost all of our pieces have a best offer option. We do welcome fair offers. If you are interested we do encourage you make an offer. If an item only has a "Buy Now" option it means that we have seen enough sales or have enough information to know the item will sell at that price when the right buyer sees it. The photos form part of the description so please look at them carefully. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have before purchasing. We invite you while you are here to look at the other high quality art nouveau collectibles that we have on offer.
