Description: I'm listing two similar fedoras of the same size at a remarkable price of $40. Both hats are vintage and in excellent condition and with plenty of wear left in them. Also, because they are suited for smaller head size, they are also a good option for women as well. The fedora style hats are making a comeback, especially with younger adults. Hat No. 1: Cavanagh Bavarian / German alps style hat in olive brown pure genuine velour felt. This hat has a 1.75" Cavanagh brim, fully lined in a cream satin with brown leather sweat and a multi-strand cord-like hat band. I'm estimating the age at early 60's based on the logo and size tag. Hat shows minimal wear and has plenty of wear left in it. Cavanagh hats were once considered the premium hat made in the U.S. This hat is in excellent condition. Like the Cavanagh, the Mallory hat comes from a great hat-making pedigree. E.A. Mallory started making hats in 1860 and lasted until the late 1960's when it was sold. For a time, Stetson bought the rights to the Mallory label and even made hats with both names but like so many hat companies in the U.S. they didn't last. This is a classic 1960's hat is in very good condition with no issues. It is missing the original size tag but I've measured it and it is 22 1/8 " which corresponds to a size 6 7/8. The brim is 1.75" wide, the hat has a longer knap (fur length) so it's perfect for fall and winter, it is fully lined in dark burgundy satin with a quality leather sweat band.
